We watched the storm from our porch with a view from Alton Bay towards the mouth of the bay and LIttle Mark Island. It was spectacular - until there was a clap so loud that we all went screaming back into the house to watch from the living room.
The view from there was just as good.
It was really something to see. Most of the lightening we saw seemed to be up towards Moultonboro (we can see Castle in the Clouds from our house) and over towards the Weirs with a few to the east as well. It only rained for a few minutes.
We did see a tree down on a house on Thursday, but I cannot for the life of me tell you where it was. We drove around the lake that day so it could have been anywhere.
