This does not give them ownership of the lake, they have no say where people can swim for instance. It does give them rights to place a dock over the water, swim lines, moorings, swim rafts, water intakes etc. You can't do any of those things in the water, if you do not own the adjacent land. Thank you for posting a concise and correct synopsis of waterfront littoral rights. Too many others over the years, on both sides of the issue, have mangled the true meaning of the case often cited. You did a great job here fairly presenting what the Court has intended...
