Five states have banned recreational power boating on all drinking water sources. Many more have horsepower limits on their drinking water sources. Mass has a 10 hp limit on reservoirs. Even with MTBE free gas being sold on the lake it can be introduced by trailer boaters.

and to think, we have the environmentalists to thank for its usage.
