My understanding is a poker run is an event where the boaters go to various destinations and at each a card is drawn randomly from the deck. After the last destination the person holding the best poker hand "wins" (sometime a prize or $$). Basically an excuse for like minded people to get together and boat around
Baja variety is for Baja owners, Donzi variety is for Donzi owners, etc, etc.
