I know what you mean. Seems somehow "odd" (I can't quite find the right word) to have a (hopefully) joyous event on that date. It also may be that people can't make it post-Labor day, so the Sat before LD might end up being the most available day*. Should it come to pass that 9/11 is the date, let me propose something stolen from Mcdude and ???. Perhaps the boaters could meet for a parade of flags about the lake then join up with the others at some town docks (ie - @ Wolfeboro should we get in Cate Park) ? Anyway everyone keep throwing in the ideas and sometime next week I think "we" should put it (date and place) to a vote.
*How about (to be said with scary Friday 13'th intonation) WinniForumFest:Grant's Gathering (bwaaahaaa) for a name ? Next year it could be WinniForumFest:RG's Revenge (w/apologies to Rattlesnake Gal)
