Hmmm...I re-registered mine in December and they never asked for the number. BUT my brother-in-law is going to register his boat in NH this year, since he now does most of his boating here anyway. He lives in Hinsdale (on the VT border) and has a VT license since he and the family did most of their boating there until last year. They weren't required (at least not a few years ago (but he and the Mrs. got theirs when they had the kids get licensed. I think he said the license was from the VT State Police. Hmmmmm...(again)....I wonder if he needs to get a NH license now? He checked last year and was told his VT license was good to operate here. But I wonder if it is good for a NH resident to register and operate his boat here? Another loophole/snafu?
