I certainly agree that the intangible "quality of life" certainly seems better in NH than Philadelphia / NYC.
Less crime, less people, less...craziness.
I've seen most of America, and areas I've visited and considered worth settling down in included:
Lakes Region
Boulder / Nederland Colorado
Taos, New Mexico
Portland / Eugene.
All offer a great Quality of Life, but how does one support himself / herself upon relocation? ...That's the question.
