Although it can't be classified as a landmark, I was just wondering if the laundromat has reopened in Alton. It was closed when we were up in Feb., and according to my spies it was still closed a few weeks ago.

We were so happy when the Hannaford's opened in Alton so we wouldn't have to drive to Gilford or Rochester to shop. This year with the price of gas it's really a savings. However, if we now have to drive to Wolfeboro or Laconia to do the laundry it's going to be a bummer.

A while back there was a thread about business opportunities in Alton/Alton Bay. I still think a new laundromat located near the 28/11 intersection would be a winner.
