Nutty Sunday
Sunday was bright, sunny, and a bit cool. It was the craziest weekend-day of the season, though.
Today, on the other hand, was A Perfect Day -- with very few boats.
One 28-footer was followed by a Jet-Ski, and they stopped about 600 feet off my dock. The Jet-Ski operator jumped off his Jet-Ski and into his skis -- leaving the Jet-Ski abandoned and riderless in the middle for about 30 minutes while he skied! (Is this "dropping a 'Ski"?)
I know it's illegal to "cast-off another's boat" but what about casting off your own boat? (Well, sort-of boat).
Sunday, it would have been clobbered for sure. I saw one really close call -- with screams -- on Sunday.
A white-over-blue, ~25-foot Cobalt, whose middle-aged operator was wearing a bright red shirt, and was returning to fallen -- and screaming -- teen wakeboarder in the path of two side-by-side racing...um...whachamacallit boats. Nearest operator raised his arm to indicate he saw the wakeboarder, but still passed him one boat length away. Things were quiet on the Colbalt for a time, but they resumed wakeboarding. Whatta ya goin' to do?
