OK, I see your point. I just saw the clip on TV, and I am very familiar with the location as I used to live very near the pictured spot. The witness said down the hill, across the lawn, across the beach and in to Lake, and out 2.5 miles. The beach had people present. As I wrote before, there is a hill down from the parking at Meredith Moorings; there is lawn from there to the beach; there are several boats moored off the beach, which is between the 3-story building and the yacht club docks.
I am quite familiar, as I grew up in a boating family, where we were taught respect for other boaters and the water. My mind has recently been negatively influenced by video on a blog, depicting no clue of the severity of possible accidents by stupid actions concerning safety on the water.
Wish I could figure a way to link to that fellow's video; says he has a MOB (man over board) button on his console, but does not know what happens if he presses the button, when some one falls overboard. Does it throw a flotation device out? Does it take engine out of gear? Does it just sound an alarm? These people have no knowledge.
Sorry, this story has no relation to the stupid actions of these snow machine users on/near the Lake in summer!
