We've eaten at Peking-Tokyo a lot and I always have the Chinese. I would say it's above, not below, average. Never a complaint from me (which might have something to do with their MaiTai's).
I can't say too much about other Chinese food places other than the one in Alton (JP China) is also good, at least for your basic stuff. Thumbs up on their MaiTai's as well.
