In this pre transition phase WMUR is broadcasting digital on UHF channel 59, a temporary arrangement. After the transition the digital broadcast will move down to the main transmitter at a lower VHF frequency where the analog channel 9 is now broadcast. You should have a much better WMRU digital then.

So all should wait until after the transition to see how the digital reception is with your current antenna. Like in cell phones, in the end digital signaling should improve reception for most.
