The
LACONIA DAILY SUN has a front page article
and photos of this momentous event in today's edition.
Quote:
A Chevrolet pick-up truck was plucked by a crane out of Meredith
Bay at the town docks yesterday afternoon. The truck, driven by a
21 year-old Belmont man, went through the ice late Sunday night
when the driver was apparently trying to deliver a snow machine
belt to a friend. At left is diver Rick Gagnon, who experienced first
hand how cold the lake is this time of year. Chad Anderson is pouring
warm water into his wet suit. Gagnon helped Gulbicki’s Towing
fish the truck out of the lake. (Laconia Daily Sun photos/Adam Drapcho
