Meadowbrook does schedule a lot of different groups but they schedule what the concert goers are willing to pay for and want. They sell out or close to it almost every time so they are doing something right.
The Sugarland concert is a make up from last year and Meadowbrook has been nominated for a CMA (Country Music Award) this year so Counrty is here to stay.
All music does play an important part but it seems to me (IMHO) that country music has gained in popularity because a lot of it is cross over and played on other than all country stations.
For me growing up with live music being played at my home, cottage and friend homes plus being a long ago DJ I like most music. I did say most though.
