I buy local when I can but I can say that I've had a difficult time buying local due to dealers not being open. If you are out on the trail and break something on Saturday, I end up ordering online so that I have the item for the next week. No dealers are open on Sundays and I don't have the option of running around to dealers during the week. I just order and get it during the week. However, any savings is usually wiped out due to the extra shipping that I pay to get it early.

If I owned a local snowmobile shop, I'd close down Monday and Tuesday and make sure I was open Saturday and Sunday. There seems to be a lot of money to be made.
