1) She's "keeping guard", all right:
Her eyes are directly on YOU!
2) A few years ago, a rambunctious baby fox ran out onto the road: With alarm, the pup spotted my approaching car and
skittered back to the cover of the woods.
"Skittered", because the pup couldn't get any traction on the road surface—like it was a freshly waxed floor—Too Funny.
3) It's not too unusual to hear foxes "barking" softly at night: Last Monday, I saw an adult fox on my lot for the first time—in the middle of the day.
A
LARGE fox.
4) Also last Monday, I came across an adult fox standing in the middle of Tuftonboro's Ledge Hill Road. Twenty minutes later, I came across a
second adult fox trotting next to Wolfeboro's Forest Road.
What else would be snared in his teeth
but a muskrat!

I expect they'll be back: A chipmunk that I'd previously trained in 2007, who skipped 2008, returned this Spring—in 2009.
Oops...a correction. Make that: Chipmunk "
Alfie" has been training me!
(No sooner I type that and he's got his nose on the front window! "Time to feed the chipmunk".)
On a totally different note, "Forest Green" is a nice color, but shouldn't PVC pipes (as pictured) be available in "Camoflage"?
