Kehonka was girl's camp nestled behind Barndoor Island on the Alton/Wolfeboro line founded in 1902. From a camp brochure circa 1950-60.

Mailing address is Wolfeboro, but the camp appears to be actually located in Alton off of Robert's Cove Road. The camp boasted 500 acres and almost a mile of shorefront! Barndoor Island may be seen at the top of the photo. The camp was established in 1902 and closed in 1985. It was owned by the Ballentine Family.
