Default Cobra at the Village Kitchen

I've been to the VK many times, great place, I've never been dissatisfied, yada, yada, yada. But, please, tell us about the Cobra! Year, motor, history, you know, all the important stuff.

It is actually a Factory Five Cobra Replica. I built it back in 2002. 302 Ford Racing engine with Edelbrock heads, E cam, MSD ignition, GT40 lower intake section with a Kenn Belle Supercharger sitting on top. Makes 380 HP at the rear wheels in a 2000 lb car.(approx 420HP) And I get about 20MPG on the highway too......
And just to keep this Lake Winni associated, here it is in front of the marina in Gilford.....

Beautiful... and fast.

What do you have for a transmission?

Two of our favorite customers......might just have to designate a special place out front for "Cobra parking"
Sounds nice ,too......we were all hanging around waiting for him to start it up.

It has a GFORCE T-5 Transmission. Handles 300 ft lbs of torque.
I have a Tremec TKO in the garage in case this one blows up on me...But it hasn't so far. The tires will spin before I ever get to 300 FT lbs.

Lakesrider, that is a cool car, nice job. How long did it take to build it? My friend is cleaning out his garage and will be buying a kit soon, I'm thinking it might be cool to build the GTM.

GT40 intake with a supercharger? Seems like you are leaving some Hp on the table. What are you using for rockers?

Curious why you went with the E-cam? CompCams makes some sweet stuff that would work better with your combo. There is a ton of stuff that has come out since 2002 with better heads, intakes, etc.

I just finished up my Mustang GT with a set of GT40X heads and a whole lot of supporting bolt-ons. Still n/a though. I am signing up for a dyno in September. We have a group from work going to NE Dragway in late August for street night. Good times.

Put a set of drag radials on that Cobra and you'll be able to put in the TKO sooner than you think

Yeah it is the GT40 Lower section of the intake only. The KB sits on that.
I have a set of roller rockers. I know there are different things I could do at with it, but it is almost 10 years old without a breakdown and it is very reliable. That alone is just fine with me. I can smoke the tires up to 4th gear which can get scary if not careful. E ca is what the engine builder suggested at the time. I am only running 6PSI. Plan to get a Snow Methanol injection cooler and put it in this winter. Should be good for a couple more HP.
Hey it is just a fun car. I'm not trying to kill myself in it!

here is the engine.....

Get some drag radials and take her down the strip a few times. Way more fun than just getting dyno numbers.

If you can hook those tires you'll be in for quite a ride

There is a Ford Fest at NED in mid-August with a car show and swap meet as well. I can't go as I will be back over the pond yet again for work and won't be back in time

AFR makes some awesome heads that would work perfectly with your set-up. Those E-streets are decent off the shelf heads but don't flow as good as the newer AFR and Trick Flow heads.

Have you had the car dyno tuned? Your set-up is definitely not maxed out yet but sounds like you need some suspension upgrades so the tires can grab

Those FFR kits are very sweet and fun to build. I built my first one in 99 and had it done and driving in 103 hrs. I got the time down to 92 hrs. from time of pick up in Wareham to completion on the one in 02. Enjoy your time in the sun with it Lakesrider, looks great
