It was serendipity: A co-worker wanted to go water skiing but the person who was supposed to be driving the ski boat bailed on him at the last minute. Past experience showed him I was a pretty good ski boat driver so he asked if I was willing.
An hour later we were out on Opechee. We got three runs in before my co-worker had enough (The water was quite cold and the wet suit only kept him warm enough for those three runs). Man, it was good to be out on the water again. Hopefully I'll be out on the big lake in a little over three weeks on my own boat. ![]() |

This is a really great time of year to get out on the lake! There's hardly any one else out, and you can catch a calm morning where you can cruise (don't ski) very comfortably.

People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." . . .Evidently nothing. (Cicero, 55 BC augmented by me, 2010 AD) |
