Thumbs up Great Places to Stay Around The Lake

We do not have a "Lodging" Thread but I would like to see what stories, recommendations, reviews etc people have about the lodging place they have stayed at around the lake. There has to be many that read our posts who are looking for some lodging information and would appreciate reading our posts.

To start that off:
This weekend we stayed at the Inn at Smith Cove in Gilford. This a real Inn. Not a motel, hotel etc. It is a period home on the waterfront of Smiths Cove in Gilford that is set beautifully. We had a 3rd floor room with a water view. The room was quaintly furnished with a full bath. They have a gazebo on the water, a lovely wrap around porch on the main house with ample seating. Beautiful lawns and gardens too. Coffee, tea and small pastries are provided in the living room every morning.
We did talk with the owner a few times in passing and found him to be very friendly and engaging.

I have passed the Inn many times when I had a boat at Fay's Boat Yard. The view from the water does not do the Inn justice even though it is a great view.

I will post a few photos in the photo gallery.

So I give the Inn at Smith Cove a thumbs up. www.innatsmithcove.com

What places have you stayed at and what was your experience?

That's a great place, thanks for sharing. I had never heard of it before.
"We have our own private beach and boat slips with free boat launching. "

That sentence added it to my list.

Default Belknap Point Motel

Have to put in a good word for this place. It is an older motel...not "today's" fancy, but clean and comfortable. Harry & Elaine Blinn go out of their way to be hospitable. One thing: it is entirely non-smoking. The best part: the view is OUTSTANDING. We always spend some time there to get our Lake Fix when we are up. BTW, it's also pretty close to Sawyer's and closer, yet, to the Lyon's Den...both have great food.

I love Channel Cottages,I don't know or think you could find a better place to stay. Jose and his family are wonderful and treat guests like family.
