Default 93 EZ Pass SL

I noticed that the state has changed the signs from yellow 10 MPH signs in the EZ Pass lanes to white 25 MPH signs. This is likely the case at all EZ Pass lanes in the state, I just have not been through the 95 and 16 tolls recently.

As a heads up, this means that the SL going though the tolls is now 25 MPH instead of 35 MPH (yellow SL signs are only advisory). Previously the last white SL sign when approaching the tolls was 35.

Be careful, I noted increased police presence.

I noticed this as well. More revenue for the State. I also am amazed that the speed limit from the rest stop down to Tilton is 55MPH and everyone is doing 75-80 through there. 10 over will get you a ticket 25 over can get you arrested. So watch your speed through that section. I would think the cops would just love that section of road, yet I hardly ever see a Statey sitting along that stretch.

the same goes for sections of Rt 3 after Nashua heading North, used to be 65, now pretty much all of it was dropped at the end of last year to 55

what BS

There was something in the news a couple of weeks ago about that. If I can find the link I'll post it, but don't hold your breath.............. I'm not too good at the posting-the-link thing, lol. The new speed limit became effective back in June or something and the State is finally getting around to posting the new signs and now it's really going to be enforced, according to what I read.

95 (Hampton Plaza) now has the high speed EZ Pass lanes, 65mph and no booths, just overhead scanners.

I too just noticed the speed limit change this weekend in Hooksett. Last Saturday I exited 93 northbound at the Hampton plaza. The traffic had a huge back-up in the 2 left lanes. As we went over 93 at the exit we noticed that the 2 lanes that had the enormous backup were the high speed lanes. It was way faster to travel through the remaining exact change lanes.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Going thru there was a breeze.

Maybe they upped the speed limit so they could grab our money more quickly?

When going through many Sunpass tolls in Florida the overhead scanners are available. I love going through them at highway speed. It saves a lot of time. I wish they would put them in Hooksett, but they probably won't because right after the toll booths the road divides to Rt. 293 or Rt. 93.
