Default Construction next to The Restaurant in w'boro?

I noticed that the ex-pottery shop is getting a makeover. Anyone know what's going on there? It looked like they had boarded up the display windows and old entrace at the front, and installed a single door. Is 'The Restaurant 03894' expanding their dining area?

Default Construction next to The restaurant 03894 in Wolfeboro

As is the usual case in any of the Lake towns during the 'off-tourist' season, speculation and rumor run rampant anytime someone sees two boards and a nail near each other, and this is no different with this case. Although not solidly confirmed, the hottest rumor is that Lydia's Cafe (presently in the building just to the right of the space in question) is moving to this area, greatly expanding both their food offerings and space available.

The owner (one of the owners) of the restaurant 03894 is rumored to have bought the condo space in which the Pottery Shop was located and is involved with helping Lydia's move. What does this all mean - I haven't a clue. Will the restaurant exdand - I haven't a clue. If the owner of one restaurant is helping another restaurant, essentially in his front yard, is he hurting himself ?

The answer to these and other questions will become clear when the new locations opens its doors and reveals itself to the world. And, pretty soon, the tourists will be back and the whole cycle can start again.

Good luck to everyone.

Whereas Lydia's is open only for breakfast and lunch The Restuarant is only open for lunch and dinner. Their menus are quite different. Sounds like they will continue to compliment each other nicely. Good luck with their new plans!

Default Pottery shop?

What happened to the Pottery Shop? Did they move or close for good? It would be a shame to lose them.

The physical shop is closed, but they are continuing the business online. I went to look at some store fixtures that were for sale, and that's what the owner said her plans were at the time.

I heard that The Restaurant will be using the space in the evening for some purpose, not just an expansion of what it now has. Lydia's will be moving their present business there. They close at around 2 PM.

It will be interesting to see which rumors pan out. The ones about IGA were right on target.
