I'm sure that there will be more fall photo spectaculars posted this year.
RG your photos of Twin Island (I owned one) brought back memories. One shows the rocks to the west. I have seen the water level much lower than that. I also noticed that the step down/into my boat was not as low as it has been in some other years. It is getting low though. |

We noticed that over the last month, the step into the boat went from a slight step up, to a definite step down (+ 2 or 3 inches to - 6 to 8 inches.).
Not a problem in any case, but sadly, it is pointing out the end of boating for us for 2004. The boat goes to dry dock this week. ![]()

The Twin Islands certainly made for a pretty picture. I am having such fun with my camera, like you couldn’t tell!
Any regrets selling your island Flboater? I don’t want to come across as complaining, but I am curious as to why the lake level is dropped so early when there are still so many boaters out there. The effect of the water level is becoming a problem in many areas. Why not wait until November when most of us are gone? |

I agree with RG. I leave my boat in the water till the snow flys. There are many islanders that keep their boat in the water at Glendale until the ice starts forming. Last year just after Thanksgiving there was a warm spell. While I was out cruising, my cousin called from RI. He was out on his boat!
