Default Lakes Region Antique & Classic Car Show

Saturday July 9, Sandwich Fairground

Show cars entry: 8-am

Spectators entry: 9-am

Car Show runs till about 4-pm

Spectator cost of admission: ONLY TWO DOLLARS! ............. (My type of a price! Hope that's correct!)

Held in the Sandwich Fairgrounds, just up the road from Center Harbor on the Bean Rd or Rt 109.

According to a news brief in todays Union Leader on page E1: "Show organizers are expecting more than 450 cars to take part in this year's show."

Believe this car show event was formerly the Castle Car Show and was held up at The Castle in the Clouds, and this is its' first year renamed Lakes Region Antique & Classic Car Show and held at the Sandwich Fairgrounds, or something like that!!!

Yep...this is what used to be the Castle show. I had heard that parking is $5 for spectators, hadn't heard of an admission fee. Registration fee is $15 for show cars if you have not pre-registered.

Default Porch

I am sitting on my porch waiting to see the cars parading by (I live on the road to the fairgrounds from Mboro). Will be at the show around 10. I did not get my car done to bring it.

I was there with my car, pretty good turnout. I'd say at least 300 cars. The Granite State Nationals will be at the same location there later in the summer.

Ah... that explains it...

We had a small parade of Model T Fords, and other 'lawn mower' sounding engine antique cars go by the house today on Rt 140 in Alton. The oldest boy was having a pool party... all the kids stopped in their tracks... "Whoa..." Kids are quiet when they're in awe.

Pretty good turnout, there were 300+ cars there. I was one of two Novas there.

Well...yes, but I didn't take pictures of everything. I already had pictures of some of the cars from previous shows in the area, so even if it was photogenic, I may not have nabbed it.

Here are some other photo sets:

Castle 2009: http://www.bracketracer.com/castlecarshow2009/index.htm
Castle 2010: http://www.bracketracer.com/castlecarshow2010/index.htm

I am pretty sure I have some from the Nick and Boat Museum shows also, I'll can dig them up if anyone is interested.

Thanks for posting those.

I think I've seen a few of those around as well.

Some are up at the Sandwich Fair every year.
