Default House Sitting Question?

I was wondering if there is a site/suggestions/contact/club for house sitters in the Lakes Region area.

I belong to 2 websites (MindMyHouse.com & Luxury House Sitting) and I've only seen 1 mention of a house in the Winnipesaukee area.

I assume most people who belong to an association don't need one because there's a caretaker, but what about homes that don't belong to an association?

Then again, it's mostly second homes in the area and most of the homes on the websites I mentioned are first homes and need a house sitter to take care of their pets while they travel, as well as their house.

Anyway, if anyone has any information, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for a house sitter or do you wish to be one? Thanks.

Default Sorry About That...

…I knew I forgot something in my post.

I am one. I was just wishing/hoping for one in the Lakes Region area.

I found several in Australia I may take but I was thinking of something closer to home.

There are people in the area that do it, my folks use someone in the Moultonborough area. Although I'm not sure of the gentelmans name, he swings by the home weekly (at least I believe if not more) and does a walk-around both inside and out. I know he has many others also.

Default Question

Are you looking to provide a property management type of service were you check the house inside and out on a periodic basis, or you looking to be a true house sitter were you reside at the home while the owners are away?

I beleive you are seeking the latter but not sure.

Default OJ's House Sitter

Since O.J. won't need his house for quite a while, it was repossessed last week.

Not sure what house sitter means, I take it to mean someone who stays at your house while you are away. This is versus a handy man or someone who occasionally checks on the house.

For my house I have a few strategically placed video cameras, a smart house system, all connected to the internet. I can generally see if there is an issue and make the trip up if I need to.
