I’ll try to make a long story short(er). For the past few years, a very nice gentleman at my company has been letting me use his parking space on Fridays during the summer. This helps me get to the lake faster on Friday night! Each year, I get him something lake related to say thank you. This year, he and I have talked a lot about his days at Camp Alton (70 years ago) so I thought it would be fun to do something related to Camp Alton.
I remembered that our very own McDude had started a business with all those wonderful postcards he’s shared with us – but I didn’t know where it was. So I sent him a private message explaining what I wanted to do and asking if he could help. He immediately sent me several choices, explaining that he mats and frames them too. I chose a couple (one of them had a great message from a camper to his parents – essentially ‘if I don’t get mail soon, you’ll be sorry’) and sent off a check. I let McDude select the mat and frame. I got the finished product in the mail on Saturday and presented the gift yesterday. The gentleman I gave them too was so thrilled that he immediately called a friend he went to camp with (!) and they’re getting together this weekend so he can share them. I was so taken by this man’s reaction (he was walking around the office showing people), that it got me to thinking of who else I might know that would enjoy something like this. And with holidays just around the corner, I thought I would share the idea with my forum friends. If you’ve got people who are hard to shop for that love the lake, this could be just the ticket. rrr |

He may still have pre-done items at the Lyon's Den, but I am not sure. Maybe he will chime in. ![]() Any picture in McDude's extensive gallery can be reproduced, matted and framed. Just as rrr stated, they make great gifts or even a decoration for your home, cottage or lake house. ______________________________ Interested in the Belknap Lakes?
