Hermit Cover has a new neighbor.
In the middle of last week I heard a familiar sound. 'Took the skiff across the Bay and there he was. Mr. loon had already returned! I am pretty sure that it is the male, it had the three level call. Woo-WOO-WOOOOO. I let the LPC know about the bird and that I would set up the habitat. What I don't know is how did he know that ice out was a month early this year? In a typical year there is no way that he could have landed (and lived). But any way he is back and we are off to a great start! Misty Blue |
