Default Thanks for the information, advice & direction!

In a couple of weeks we will be closing our summer home up for the winter, marking the end to our first full season out on Rattlesnake Island. The experience of living on a Winnipesaukee island full time for ten weeks this summer fulfilled the number one item on my wife's and my collective "bucket" list. It has truly been the greatest experience of our life times (to date that is <-- I'm already looking forward to next year)! I'm posting this because I want you all to know what a tremendous help this forum has been to us and would thus like to take this opportunity to express our thanks and appreciation to all who contributed! Last spring, as novice islanders we really didn't have a clue what we were doing or what we were up against. I had a million questions & concerns that I would have had to resolve through "the school of hard knocks" if I hadn't found this forum and could "tap" into the collective wisdom of the entire forum community. I can not even begin to express how much the feedback that I received to my numerous posts has helped us out and prevented us from making bad and costly mistakes! Thanks again to all!!

Thumbs up Winnipesaukee.com

I am so glad that you found the Forum and that you and your family enjoyed the island so much. Island life is just incredible. It was great meeting you both this summer and I look forward to another visit next year.

Enjoy the autumn and these next few weeks at the lake.

Eventhough I am not quite a "newbie" as this is our ninth year up here, the Forum is the single most important thing that has enriched our yearly 5 month stay at the Lake. And it only gets better.

Glad the reality matched your anticipation!
