Default Late color this year

Came up for the fair this weekend is it me or is the color this fall very late? Seems I remember years ago fair weekend when color was in full swing and all the reds and everything was out. Maybe there is something to this global warming thing...

Default Same thing in a lot of places

A lot of the leaves have been dying and dropping for the last month.
We went rafting on the Dead river in Maine this weekend and colors from here to there were pretty dismal. Seems that the most colorful tree's are in or around swamp area's which is not unusual even on a good year.
From my house here in Belmont most tree's are already bare, especially the oak tree's. Some maples have color but most of the color on the leaves has a brown ring where the leaves are dying as they are starting to get color.
On the up side the traffic was none existent coming home last evening, that is always a plus.

Don't forget the Sandwich Fair always used to be on the 12th before we got the Monday holiday so the fair was a few days later.

I do agree though, it was another funny year for color. It seemed to me some color came earlier than usual, yet we still have some tree that are mostly green. Some leaves fell off before they even turned. I guess maybe every year is unique.
