Question Pine Island Cam

Been watching all the lake cams through Island Girl's link. I like keeping an eye on the ever-so-slow demise of the ice. For the past several days there was a beer bottle on the deck railing - center of view on the Pine Island Cam. Today the bottle has vanished. There hasn't been enough wind to blow it over, so I'm wondering. Pine Island Guy - are you on the island? If so, what are your thoughts on the progression of ice-out??? If you're not there, I think there might be a drunk squirrel on the island!

Default good catch!

The bottle was a bit of humor from a friend of mine (aka Misty Blue on the Forum) who also checks up on the camp for us... He left it on the rail so that I would know he'd been by... If you had looked very closely at the label you would have seen "Pine Island Brown Ale" with a picture taken from our deck of the Mount in the background and the same bottle of beer on the railing!!!

We had a mini-brewfest last fall and that was our contribution... The label is also my avatar (until we brew again in May and we come up with a new one!).

p.s. according to my calendar it's Misty's birthday today, I'm thinking he went back and grabbed the bottle to celebrate...

Talking No drunk squirrels, then!

Thanks for the good chuckle, Pine Island Guy! That's a great story, and I love the avatar/beer bottle label!

And more importantly:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISTY BLUE!!!!!!!
