No humans to be seen today...

So I was down on Wolfeboro Bay today. As a friend and I were observing the surrounding area of the bay, not one human being could be seen. We looked everywhere and there wasn't a soul insight around the entire bay. It certainly was eerie. There was a lone Loon out towards the middle of the bay but that was it. I said to my friend that this place really went into winter mode early this year.

Oh and I also noticed several very large Salmon right along the wall by the docks. There had to be at least twenty of them. I thought it strange to see them so close to shore and in such shallow water seeing as it was getting cold out. But I am not much of a fresh water fisherman so I wasn't sure about that.

The bass love the rocks and walls in the spring because they retain the suns heat and disperse it around them. It's possible that's why they were hanging by the wall. The lake is unusually cold this year, they may be looking for warmer water. I'm sure anyone who fishes salmon would know.
