Just out of curiosity, the snowmobiles we're out the ice in Mboro bay up by Suissevale. I hear still around a 12in thick in a lot spots. Plenty thick however, it has pulled away from shore.. Just curious, I saw tracks where they skimed large areas of open water near shore.. Do they have floating mechanism on them?? I've never been on one before. I never thought so but, I saw the tracks one that started on the open ice, went in between the docks in Suissevale and ended up in the parking lot. A quick calculation using a map that's about 300ft of open water to skim over!! I knew you could skim water but, I never thought that much water!!! Thanks, they are braver than I

YouTube snowmobile water crossing. Very doable, and very illegal in NH unless in a sanctioned event. They are putting not only themselves but others in risk.

THEN they often drown because they cannot haul themselves out of the water (no grip on the ice). I recommend ice picks for all that go on water. |

They usually are on a cord that I string through the arms of my jacket and keep inside the sleves of my jacket my kids have strap on the cuffs of their jackets or to of the gloves and they stick them under those to secure them so they are quickly available.
