Default 4th of July

Are there any fireworks in the Lakes Region over the 4th of July?

Our favorite is Wolfeboro. We drive over amd dine at the Cider Press, which is far enough from the docks that it's not mobbed on the 4th (assuming they're open that day). We then head for Brewster Academy where we can park and sit on the lawn fairly close to where the fireworks are set off.

We plan it so that afterward we can just make a right turn onto 28 before traffic backs up. Just like are forebears in revolutionary times...

There are fireworks in Alton, Laconia, Meredith, Center Harbor, Sandwich, Ashland, Weirs Beach , Moultonborough, Wolfeboro, and Ashland. I am sure there places I have missed. Some are the day before or the day after. Ashland's are not on the lake, but they are on July 5th. The fireworks in Ashland are fabulous. I always go to fireworks in Center Harbor on the 4th and in Ashland on the 5th.

They have a barge right off the beach. Last years show was really impressive. Started off by lighting a ring of fire in the water and the fireworks were very impressive. Love the sound of the echoes off the background. They have music at the bandstand across the street if you go by land but noting like getting close to the action by boat

I second the motion on Center Harbor! The sonic booms are fantastic echoing in the surrounding hills.

you also might want to attend a fourth parade. I know Wolfeboro has a good one but also Ashland has a nice one and a great pancake breakfast like out of the 1800's

Thanks everyone for the information. Sorry I've not been on lately, I've been quite busy with everything here. I'm really hoping we can be there for the 4th, things are looking very hopeful!
