I was working on my balcony yesterday in Meredith (just across from the town docks) and heard what sure sounded like the call of a loon. I looked up and was pleasantly surprised to see two loons passing by!

That's so great to hear! (pun intended)...The loons know best when it comes to ice-out...I swear a couple of them come before the others, just to keep a watch..and when it's time, BOOM, they're back!
