There may be a previous thread on this subject , but I can't find one. I live in Meredith and wonder whether there is other cable tv/internet options besides Metrocast (which I find to be pretty pathetic).

Not that I'm aware of other the usual a like dish or direct tv. I've tried roku and slingbox and while they work well it's still not like having cable especially when you have more than a one tv

We just changed from Metrocast to DirecTV for television. Kept internet and phone with Metrocast though.

I have internet with Metrocast until Fairpoint provides fiber optics service in my neighborhood and switch over. I use my laptop to stream media to the TV. This is just as good and far cheaper than cable. Verizon Wireless provides my phone service and backup internet.
