Exclamation Airplane Rides

Every summer we watch a dark blue plane, mono wing with a yellow stripes doing aerobatics above the Broads. Loops, barrel rolls, stalls...amazing to watch. Does anyone know who this daredevil is and do they give rides?

Question 'Don't know who it is, but...

Last summer, I heard that plane nearly every weekend. (Less often in previous years). From here, the treeline blocks most views of it (from 2 miles away).

From boating near Rattlesnake Island, I recall that it was either a Sukhoi or Yak—Russian aerobatic planes shipped here and assembled from kits. Both have radial engines.

Before looking for a ride, you'll have to take a good look at the canopy to see if it's the single-seater or the rarer two-seater. As their range is relatively short, that plane could be operating out of Rochester Airport. There could be a ride for you.

I hope you have a STRONG stomach!!!

I'd love a ride too, and have a friend that does aerobatics. Unfortunately, my stomach doesn't allow me to have such a fun ride! I start getting motion sickness before he even can start doing any maneuvers!

It's out of character for him to be flying today (a weekday) over Rattlesnake Island. Due to our dense canopy of trees, I can't see him, but there's only one way to make that sound!
