Please chime in with any places to eat, get ice cream, adult beverages. And insight on docking or how far of a walk etc. I just saw Hillcountry's post about the Lyons Den and having to dock in a certain place so it got me thinking.

Pletny of options, won't list all, but closest to me(West Alton) that we like:
Gilford - Lyons Den, Ames Farm(breakfast/lunch) Alton Bay - Shibleys, their "new" outdoor patio over the water is great. Olde Bay Diner for breakfast/lunch is great. Wolfeboro - too many to list Weirs Beach Pier is going to have Pizza and BBQ place. Also many options in Meredith and Center Harbor but we don't take the boat there as often as it's a hike for us. |

Most of the places listed above are close to town docks. Ames Farm has their own dock, but as with any weekend adventure, it's likely to be busy. Canoe in Center Harbor will send a driver to the town docks.

I think Bizer Map list restaurants that are accessible by boat(on the back).
As mentioned above, weekdays are best. Dave M |

I only listed restaurants that are easy to reach by boat and have docking. I have a 28' boat. Sunday night through Friday night are easiest due to less boating traffic of course. For instance, a Saturday lunch crowd can make the Wolfeboro town docks very crowded. On occasion we've waited 20-30 minutes for a dock space.
Ames Farms you can call ahead and ask which docks are reserved for those dinning via boat. We find that lunch on a Saturday in Alton Bay at Shibley's seems to be less crowded than most of the other options, probably because its location. Also, sometimes it's best to order "take out", and just pull up to a dock, have someone jump out to go get the food and bring it back to the boat. Some of our best meals have been anchored after getting "take out". |

![]() With that you can probably get into most any destination dock on the lake.

We had a 20' toon last year and traded it this year for something more big lake friendly.

We love going to Liliuokalani's Ice Cream on Paugus Bay. They have their own docks and great ice cream at reasonable prices. They also have picnic tables and park benches.
Our favorite spot for lunch is The Lyons Den at Glendale (Gilford) and plenty of docking there at the Gilford Town Docks. They always have great food.

Albeit this time of year no one tends to bother you -- but "in Season" those docks are monitored pretty vigorously from my experience. .
