I’ll try to pass by. FYI New Mexican grill in the Weirs in the old El Jimidor location is Vida Mexican Grill. Should open soon

Looked a the link and the online order which I figured was the full menu, I hope not!! Only one steak, prime rib, and a bunch of pasta dishes. Prices didn't seem too out of control for what was on it though.
Anyone know if that is the normal menu?
I hope it gets more things on the menu, I'd love another good steak place up there.

El Jimador was acceptable, but not outstanding. However, it gave me a place para practicar hablando mi Espanol.

I'll try it. We were disappointed when Faro's closed.
We weren't impressed with the steak house.

We never got to Faro, but we love Faro II for quick lunches.

In terms of the Christmas Island Steakhouse: we went twice a few years ago. The first was AWESOME—I got prime rib surf-and-turf, and it was easily among the top restaurant meals I've ever eaten.

The second time, though? Horrible. In just a few short months, it was a totally different experience. And, since the reviews at the time captured that same sentiment, we never went back.
