A don’t-miss opportunity for next weekend
Yeah, they always say that. But this is really something you shouldn’t miss: The NH Master Chorale’s performances of “The Radio Hour” starring locally renowned actor Lisa Lovett as Nora – a lonely, depressed woman of a certain age having a very bad day. (Sat evening in Concord, Sun afternoon in Plymouth) Over the course of this innovative, 40-minute “choral opera,” Nora has a mystical encounter with her radio that makes her joyful, youthful and energized again. It’s a witty, rollicking experience that will get you laughing and appreciating anew the transformative power of music. The second half is a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of 1940s radio, featuring swing-style arrangements of oldies like “Our Love Is Here to Stay,” “Ain’t She Sweet?” “Blue Moon” and “I’ll Be Seeing You.” Here's a sneak peek at the program notes: https://www.nhmasterchorale.org/post...c-of-tuning-in Friday @ 7 at South Congregational Church in Concord Sunday @ 4 at Plymouth Congregational Church Tickets: At the door or online at nhmasterchorale.org From $30 all the way down to “pay-what-you’re-able” or…free! |
