Trailer Hitch

Crazy question.....
Taking a long trip (1000 miles), and pulling my loaded Cargo trailer.
Should I apply Lube to the hitch ball ? Is that needed or help ?

Yes- there is specific lube for that but any good grease is better than nothing!

On older trailers, the lights may use the car as an electrical ground, connecting through the ball/hitch.

Blaster Dry Graphite lubricant or WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube with PTFE. Price for either one is about $7.98.

Both are dry, a lot cleaner than grease, color-black, sticky to remain in place and will conduct electricity.

Note: Blaster Dry Graphite lubricant is black and a very different product than Blaster Dry Lube which is white, greasy and more liquid.
