Default Below average

It's hard to believe, given this spring, but this weekend the water depth crossed the 23 year mean. As of today we are almost an inch below the average for this date. Watch those rocks!

Default Below the mean is ok

The lake has been hit with two floods in the past 12 months. It needs to repair and recover. With several heavy wake weekends left, it is best for the lake if the level is well below normal for its weekly shoreline pounding.

Default We need a draw down this fall!

I'm hoping we get a good draw-down this fall to restore the shallow areas, that are normally sandy, back to their norm. The repeated high-water periods with heavy wave action, along with a lack of a draw down last year resulted in many formerly sandy areas getting silted over with runoff materials. The draw down and normal wave action will wash this silt down into deeper waters and preclude formation of areas where weeds can root in shallower waters.

Seems like a lot more weeds of various types are appearing on many shorelines that were formerly clear.
