I was hoping for a little help from the forum, you have always come through for me.
I have a septic design for a piece of land that I own (I did not commision the design) that has a date stamp of 11/16/2004. Questions How long is the design good for? Can it be extended and approx cost? Does the septic have to be functioning by the expiration date or just be installed? Thanks again |

I believe state approved septic designs are good for at least 4 years. Call the person who did the design and they can tell you. Also check with the town where the design was approved for and talk to the health officer or a clerk there who should know the answer. Also the DES is very helpfull. They have copies of approved plans on file.
