Default Doughnuts, Dining, and Docking (over in Wolfeboro)

OK...so this is not an entirely new thread, but is a combo of several that have appeared over the past few months on this posting board. Because of various things posted here, we made a point to visit several places during the past 5 days, and I'm writing to share our experiences...feel free to reply/respond/ignore...
A while back, someone asked for the best place on the lake to buy freshly made doughnuts, first thing in the morning. We tried Moulton Farms, and while they were fantastic, I have to say the best I have ever had (although it is a bit of a drive) were from Shacketts, over in Bristol on Newfound Lake on West Shore Drive. Hot and fresh. As long as you are in the Meredith area, and you get an early enough strart, it is actually a nice ride early in the morning. Probably 50 minutes round trip from the 93 interchange. I challenge anyone to try and make it back without having one...can't do it!
Next, we wanted to try a restaurant that had been "talked up" on this board. Although we had initially decided on the Coe House, I had noted that The Willows "prime rib buffet" was only Wednesday and Thursday nights, and as we are never up that way together during the week, we figured, as it was Thursday, to give The Willows a try. Good decision. It was a bit crowded, so they offered us a table upstairs, which really is the bar area, but as we are both drinkers, we were very comfortable up there (other than having to walk up and down the strairs to the buffet). We ordered a bottle of wine, and it was on the table in 2 minutes. The buffet had many offerings...salad, shrimp cocktail, hot and cold veggies, cheese and crackers, killer selection of deserts, etc. etc....but the main attraction was the prime rib, smoked turkey breast, and haddock. The rib had several sauces to choose, and the turkey offed a cranberry type chutney. Very good. One problem...and they really should work on this. Food mildly warm at best. In fact, the fish, which should be HOT, was very close to room temperature. Did not ruin things, but the food should be hot. The best thing was the price...although after looking at the menu, I found the place very "pricey", the buffet was only $16.95...I was shocked. Worth every penny. If not for the bottle of wine, I would have got out of there for under $50. Try this place on a Wednesday or Thursday...
Lastly, on Friday morning, it was time for a boat ride to the Wolfeboro town docks for some shopping, lunch and drinks, and to see the famous "hadicapped spots". I have a difficult time with these docks when crowded, so thankfully, my brother in law, who owns the boat, and is a seasoned captain, was at the helm. He can put the 24' boat into a 26' foot spot whitout even giving it a good look. And this is exactly what was needed as there was a decent wait (15 minutes or so)...AS THE HADICAPPED SPOTS REMAINED EMPTY!!!! Now, I am not trying to be rude...but here is the deal. These docks are not modified in any way! No special ramp, no extra assistance, (they are painted blue). So basiclly, what they are saying is, because you are hadicapped, you don't have to wait in line. Huh?! If they had some type of ramp or lift or some type of equipment to help people, I would be all for it! But that is just not the case. Hey, wait in line. And when you dock, I'll be THE FIRST PERSON there to assist you if I am at the docks. People always seem to help each other dock anyway.
We had a wonderful time at The Upper Deck sports bar. Food was great, and as we sat outside on the railing (3rd floor), I think the view is one of the best on the lake. Great day...
That's it.
