questions for people who rent their property

Hi,

My wife and I love Lake Winnipesaukee and would love to buy a cottage on the lake. The only way I can see making this work is by renting the cottage at least part of the time. So I am looking for some info from those who rent our their properties so that I can make sure I am making reasonable assumptions and not shooting for the moon.

Do you do use a property management firm or do it yourself?
