I thought the "closed" sign meant they had gone to Florida for a while, but I heard from an extremely reliable source that the Blacksnout is closed for good. They only lasted about six months... barely long enough to pay for the sign.

Well darn it that just isn't good news. I enjoyed the place myself..... I had a feeling though. This fall they just seem to be too slow to keep enough business to make it through the winter. Well hopefully some place with a similar atmosphere will move in there.

Not surprised at all. I am surprised they lasted as long as they did. Ate there once and was not impressed with the food or service (and it was a very slow day)

somewhat understandable as there are a lot of good restaurants within 10 miles. tough to see them all surviving the winter season
