Try www.uship.com. I have moved a few this way. You can get bids from multiple carriers, both private haulers and transport companies. You can even put out desired target pricing for the job and let them outbid each other.

Check the trucker boards. Tell them what you need, and different truckers will bid your job. Company trucks, owner-operator trucks.... lookin for haul'n jobs to fill their empty truck on the way back from the north east.

I highly recommend shipping the boat and trailer on a flat bed, if the boat is on a trailer, rather than have someone haul the trailer on it's wheels. I bought my boat in Indianapolis and towed it home. I had two trailer tire blowouts on the trip home. Glad I had a spare and I'm gald I replaced the spare after the first blowout. After the second blowout, I went to the nearest tire store and bought 4 new Marathons.

I second the vote for Miles Marine in Gilford.
I hired them to haul a large boat to Lake Winnipesaukee many years ago and they could not have been any better. When I showed up at the marina on Winnipesaukee to pay them and pick up the boat, Craig Miles was cleaning the bridge and Paula Miles was vacuming the cabin. Service way beyond what one would expect. |

I third the vote for Miles Marine if they go to Florida. We used them for many years both spring and fall before we stored the boat at the marina and they were always great!
