Default Wind & Waves

It's very windy along the shoreline in West Alton this afternoon. We're getting wind gusts up to 47 mph, which is strong enough to blow the tops right off the white caps. I shot this picture a short time ago looking north toward the "Castle" on Sleeper's Island. You can see how rough the lake is in this shot.

Nice pic DRH!

We were (trying to) ski at Cannon today- it was windy. On a couple of occasions we got stoppped and blown back up the mountain!

Default Nice pic, DRH!

Some would not believe how Lake Winnipesaukee can become like any severe weather scene on an ocean! As we very well know, those of us who have spent many years here on the waters of, it inspired me to name one of my photos, "Beauty And The Beast", and the beast was relatively calm.

Love your Photos!
