Thumbs up Tim Kelly at NECN plugs the site again!

Just a few moments ago Tim Kelly (meteorologist at NECN) gave extensive coverage to this website, the ice-out contest and mentioned the top three winners by name. He also plugged the main webcam!

Thank you to Tim & NECN for the continued positive (and free) and extensive coverage they devote to this fantastic website.

Wow Don, did you ever imagine how famous this website would become when you first had the idea so many years ago?

No Skip, when I registered winnipesaukee.com in 1995 I really had no idea what to do with it or where it would go. The growth and popularity have been very gratifying.

Monday was quite a day for the site. We were mentioned in many newspapers and TV stations for both Ice-Out and the Alton Bay fire. Site traffic was through the roof.

I just finished an interview with the Citizen. They also interviewed the contest winner. Look for an article in the next few days about the Ice-Out contest.

Fantastic, I'll be keeping an eye out!

By the way, did they include a picture of the Donmeister with this article? If so, be careful. A handsome dude like you will need a big stick to chase off all those female fans swamping you for autographs when you come up this summer...

Thumbs up Yes Don....thank you.

Don,

I am fairly new to the website, but have come to really enjoy it. I cannot tell you just how many times I was on it during the Ice Out contest and during this past Sunday's fire in Alton Bay. So many knowledgeable people contribute. It is a great source of information. The site is really wonderful.

Thank you.

Default Wow Don, you are famous now!

Nice article in the Citizen about a great web site.

This web site has been such a great source of information for many years to so many people that use and enjoy the lake. It continues to be a way for all of us to learn more about the lake and the region. On a daily basis it helps to keep us informed and educated about recent events like legislation, accidents and current events. It is the first place many people go to learn more about the latest Lake Winnipesaukee story they have heard.

I know the website takes a lotof Don's time and is appreciated by all of us.

Congradulations and thanks Don!

Default ice out 2010

How about a $1.00 per guess entry fee for next year? You can enter as many times as you want. Give the proceeds to whomever needs help the most.

Rather than require everyone to pay $1.00, let the contest be as it is -- but if you want an addition 5 guesses, then donate $1.00 per guess up to a total of 6 (your original free guess, plus an additional 5).

This will give our Webmaster something to do -- develop a fee-based Ice out contest web page.

Or,,,,,,, require that the winners donate some of their massive winnings to their favorite charity.
