Default Dock Bubbler recommendation

I am trying to protect a small section of my shoreline, about 20', from ice as I am sick of rebuilding it every year. It is where my dock ramp attaches. I cannot use a prop type circulator as the water is not deep enough. Therefore an air bubbler type is what I am looking for. The only one I have found is the Dock Bubbler (www.dockbubbler.com) made by LMI I believe.
Does anyone use this brand or have experience, good or bad, with it? It uses a linear compressor and costs $575 to protect a 20' dock section. I won't have the dock section in but just loop it out from the shoreline. I'm in a protected area when it comes to ice out so am not worried about that time.
I've searched other threads here but haven't seen this brand mentioned.
Thanks for any help.

Default I use LMI

I have one of their models to protect my granite steps going into the water. For what they charge you to install steps I wanted to avoid any ice damage if possible. This device works great. At it's shallowest, the water is only 12" deep to about 3 feet. I lay out the air hose in a circular pattern in front of the steps. It protects several feet in any direction. In the heart of the winter when the ice gets really thick however, it only protects directly above the circle of bubbles that are created. I would suggest getting the model with an air hose larger than what you want, that way you can zig zag it along your shorline and get maximum protection.
It is very cheap to operate and I have it on a thermostat so it only comes on when the temp is below 35 degrees and goes off when the temp is above 45 degrees. This saves a little bit of money in December and March.
