I thought I'd ping the forum for recomendations on good, affordable (in that order) transportation service. I have a solution on a good used upgrade, unfortunately it's not in the lakes region so I have to get my trade-in to the dealer. I'm looking to move Larson Cabrio 274 to Medford, MA from West Alton.
Any suggestions? Thanks! |

You can post it in Uship.com and get multiple bids. If you have a truck big enough to move it but no trailer you can buy a trailer through the Trailer Depot in Tilton, move it, and negotiate the trailer into the trade deal. They sell trailers so cheap that I doubt you would lose much if any. It is an 8.5' beam so it is legally trailerable. Anyone with a trailer and a 3/4 ton could move it.

Thanks Woodsy, I received Miles' name from my marina also.
Codeman, thanks for the suggestion, but at the price they're offering, I'm even thinking about taking out the cushions. (just kidding). Also wanted to know if anyone can recommend a surveyor that is either willing to go to Boston, or is in the are down there. Thanks again. |

If it has to go to Medford I assume you mean Russo Marine. Have them go get it. If they want to sell you a new boat I am sure they will go pick up your old boat.
If not, however, contact: Jim Varney Tornado RV Transport 603-867-1878 |

Is it on a trailer? I guess that would be too easy huh... If its on a trailer already I would grab it for you. I live in the next town over and frequent the lake.
If no trailer, which I suspect is the case, see the other posts. |

Indepentent Marine gave me a great deal when I hauled my 32 foot boat up here from the south shore. I did store it with them that winter though.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I worked a deal with the dealer and arranged drop off and pick up the same day: One way charge!
